Waterfall sky canyon with vista view
Creating this photo in my kitchen sink with the faucet running for the entire photo stack, was the first attempt at creating a waterfall scene! Using the rock in the foreground collected from Rock Hound state park in New Mexico where my dog Bozo got his second introduction to cactus by getting one stuck in his nose. He was a bit confused but luckily was easy enough to pull it out. The mid ground rock came from a trip to a glacial til rock hounding hot spot in Firebaugh CA with my sister Becky. She had asked me what was in Firebaugh, I heard what was in Fireball. Replying I believe it cinnamon whiskey. Then after hearing it again, I understood what was really asked. What was in Firebaugh? The background was a agate collected from a old mining site near Gabbs Nevada with my friend Luna and dog Bozo! Taking each to the tile saw cutting them into workable pieces expect the foreground piece, the scene was created! Trying to create a waterfall in a canyon ended up producing a waterfall in the sky feeling! The small mountains in the distance were created by not cutting the rock cleanly. Leaving a small piece intact since the saw was a touch to small. This was a magical addition to the photo though! Without it the distant vista wouldn't be. You see the snow capped peaks and the sun setting behind the most distant mountain range! The blue light provides a feeling or a glowing river in the canyon floor helping guide the eyes around! The shimmer in the sky holds its own magic. Almost resembling clouds or distant Milky Way over the canyon! No matter where your eyes take you adventurous await!
