Old man of the glamor gal hibiscus
3000 photo taken at 75um apart in two different stacks. Then stitched together to create the final image!
This hibiscus came from Ken’s Market a local grocery store down the street from my house. I was driving by one afternoon had a spare moment and decided to pop in and look at the new greenhouse they had built! The surprise that waited for me was this Glamor Gal Hibiscus!! Hearing my waffle loving friend’s voice in my head, I pulled out my cell phone and took a picture! Truly not expecting the results that followed. Pausing briefly, then a f*ck it, you’re coming home with me!! Reading the tag after I arrived home, I can proudly say if I was a flower this was me! The description was spot on. Which is an important detail for the next part. Krista asked for a specific composition for the flower, after seeing my first attempt. I set it up and took the 3000 photos that would become the winner! The results had another unexpected surprise. Looking at the photo, a face appeared. Almost a sad face of an old man, looking into the void at the bottom. I originally thought maybe this photo was speaking to Krista. I think the flower was speaking to me the entire time. From picking it up to taking the stacks of photos. What did this plant know about me that I wasn’t wanting to see?
