Part of my first landscape series.  Taking two mineral found in Firebaugh CA left behind from glacial till in a field below a working farm off the highway in the middle of all the farm land! Starting early to avoid the heat of the day, we left with plenty of quality specimens  I cut the Picture Jasper to showcase the design! Using it for the canyon walls. The unknown mineral in the background providing that questionable energy, was the other collected from Firebaugh CA.  Both collected with my sister Becky. Prior to the trip she ask, “what in Firebaugh?” I heard Fireball, responding accordingly,”I believe its cinnamon whisky.”  Laughing, she clarified the question! The ground and glow are the carnelian agate found near Gabbs NV at an old abandoned mine, with my friend Luna and dog Bozo! Fueled by the best gas station burritos from Maverick and overpriced gas, we drove 126 miles into nowhere! First viewing this photo, left me with an uncertainty of what was brewing on the horizon.  Was it something to be feared? Was it smoke or a severe rain event? It left me feeling concerned.  I took a step back sitting with my feelings. This proved to be the best choice in the moment! With more distance between me and the screen, safety was glowing in the corner of the screen. The light was saying only one more bend for safety! The emotions this photo brought out proved to be a  good reminder to slow down, breathe, and look again.  Do you see safety or concern? Community around the corner or isolation? No matter how positive we tend to be, its easy to see doom and gloom undertones in any situation pushing us to feel alone and unrelatable. Which is seldom true if we are willing to be vulnerable with others. I hope this photo  provides a daily reminder of the matter of perspective and the power it has to drive our narrative
